The logistics department is your first point of contact at EWN. Here you can ask questions about the planning, the delivery of goods or to register shipments for our own transport service. On this page you will find the necessary information.
It is preferable to pack your goods and send them separately per alloy in so-called transport-boxes.
The advantage of these boxes is that you can place your goods in/on/in between the foam without having to use foil and/or plastic bags as extra packaging. You can borrow the EWN transport-boxes free of charge.
You can send your products to us, bring them yourself to us in Joure or have them picked up. We have our own permanent external service staff to pick up and deliver your goods by means of insured transport.
Assay Office EWN uses an online portal. You can log in here and register your shipment. After registration you need to print the generated label and send it with your shipment. We then know where the shipment comes from and what is offered for testing/hallmarking. In this online environment you can also view the status of your shipment and download the calculation form. You will receive the invoice by email.
The logistics department has strict entry & exit checks. As soon as your consignment arrives, we will check your shipment for completeness and any imperfections. In case of imperfections we will contact you directly. We will weigh your complete shipment on arrival and repeat this during and at the end of the process to ensure that you receive back what you sent us.
You can have your items labelled immediately after testing. Or have your items packed in your own packaging material. Assay Office EWN can provide this service.

Assay Office EWN strives to return all shipments within two to three working days, and usually the same day, without any surcharge. Urgent orders may occasionally be taken, but our policy is that all objects undergo the testing process at equal lead times.
